The upward trend of the reference dollar published by the Central Bank of Bolivia continues. This Wednesday it reached 10.20 bolivianos for selling and 9.99 for buying, an exchange rate that even stands above USDT, where, although higher prices can be found, it can also still be traded below 10 bolivianos.

USDT purchases on Binance are ranging between 10.35 and 9.96 bolivianos, while sales fluctuate between 9.93 and 9.64.

With this Wednesday, it is now three consecutive days in which the selling exchange rate has remained above Bs 10. Since its creation in December 2025, the reference dollar had moved up and down between Bs 8.11 and Bs 9.90, the highest level reached on April 30; from then on, the quotation began climbing until surpassing Bs 10.

Yesterday, Economy Minister José Gabriel Espinoza stated that the reference dollar quotation will fall in the coming weeks. He attributed the increase to a “seasonal stage.”

“The indicator has risen somewhat in the market, but I insist, this is strictly seasonal; in the coming weeks, perhaps sooner, we are going to see a drop in the dollar quotation,” the minister said in an interview with Unitel.

Espinoza pointed out that the quotation will tend to decline in the coming weeks due to the beginning of the “foreign currency liquidation by agro-industrial exporters” and because the industrial sector will conclude its import stage, which will allow for stabilization.
