Amid complaints over the lines once again forming at fuel stations and criticism from transport sectors over poor fuel quality, the president of Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB), Claudia Cronenbold, submitted her resignation after 23 days in office. The government has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
The news was reported by journalist Tuffí Aré, who on his Facebook account shared Cronenbold’s resignation letter, addressed to the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mauricio Medinaceli, and President Rodrigo Paz. Government sources confirmed to Visión 360 that the resignation was submitted; however, the Executive has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
“Through this letter, I address you to present my irrevocable resignation from the position of President of YPFB, effective immediately as of this date,” the document reads.

En medio de quejas por las filas que se forman nuevamente en surtidores y de críticas de sectores del transporte por la mala calidad del combustible, la presidenta de Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB), Claudia Cronenbold, presentó su renuncia al cargo tras 23 días de haber asumido funciones. El Gobierno aún no se pronunció de forma oficial al respecto.
La noticia fue difundida por el periodista Tuffí Aré, quien en su cuenta de Facebook divulgó la carta de renuncia de Cronenbold, dirigida al ministro de Hidrocarburos, Mauricio Medinaceli, y al presidente Rodrigo Paz. Fuentes del Gobierno confirmaron a Visión 360 la presentación de la dimisión; sin embargo, el Ejecutivo aún no se pronunció de forma oficial al respecto.
“Por intermedio de la presente, me dirijo a usted para presentar mi renuncia irrevocable al cargo de Presidente de YPFB, con efecto inmediato a partir de la fecha”, se lee en la misiva.
