Mamut, the pioneering Bolivian company in sustainability and circular economy, proudly celebrates 11 years of positive impact on the environment and society. Since its beginnings manufacturing recycled rubber flooring, Mamut has evolved into an internationally recognized business model, contributing to the transformation of waste into sustainable, high-value solutions.

FROM A SINGLE TILE TO AN ECOSYSTEM OF SOLUTIONS

In over a decade, Mamut has grown from a small recycling initiative to a leading company in sustainable innovation. Its current portfolio includes products that enhance urban infrastructure and improve quality of life, such as:

● Continuous pavement: Ideal for parks, plazas, and public spaces that are safe and resilient.

● Athletic tracks: High-performance surfaces that promote sports and physical well-being.

● Polyurethane sports and industrial floors: Designed for environments requiring resistance, durability, and comfort.

● Road safety lines: Enhancing safety and order in cities.

● Recycled urban furniture: Benches, stools, and trash bins made from plastic and Tetra Pak.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: RESULTS YOU CAN MEASURE

Mamut’s environmental commitment is reflected not only in its products but also in its tangible results. Over the past 11 years, the company has:

● Recycled more than 2 million kilos of tires.

● Captured more than 12,000 tons of CO₂, preventing these residues from polluting the air, soil, and rivers.

● Transformed hazardous waste into urban infrastructure, creating safe, functional, and sustainable community spaces.

These achievements directly contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), positioning Mamut as a key player in the fight against climate change from Bolivia.

CONSTANT INNOVATION: NEW PARTNERSHIPS AND TECHNOLOGIES

One of the most recent milestones has been the partnership with Tetra Pak, enabling the recycling of post-consumer packaging (cardboard and poly-aluminum) into construction materials and urban furniture. Through this initiative, recycling bins have been installed in key locations around Cochabamba, promoting circular economy practices and citizen participation.

Additionally, the recycled urban furniture line—made from bottles, caps, and containers—was showcased at the Sustainable Cities Meeting, organized by the Global Compact at ICAM, further consolidating Mamut’s leadership in the region.

NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

Mamut’s journey has been acknowledged with various awards for its innovative approach and positive impact:

● National Award for Excellence for Living Well (2018) – “Clean Bolivia” Category.

● VIVA Schmidheiny Awards (2018) – First place in Environmental Impact, Costa Rica.
