Jaime Llanos, a forecaster for the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service (Senamhi) reported that they have forecast the entry of a cold front for early Saturday morning, rains and storms for four regions of the country, in addition to a drop in temperatures.
Santa Cruz, the Tropic of Cochabamba and north of La Paz will be the regions that will have low temperatures during the weekend due to the entry of the cold front.
“We are with high humidity for the whole country. The Bolivian Chaco expects a cold front, the cold will enter in the early hours of Saturday, it will descend through the Bolivian Chaco, integrated north, Beni, it will affect the entire region with rains and storms”, Llanos told Urgente.bo.
Regarding the strong winds and scattered rains reported over the weekend in La Paz, the forecaster indicates that they are common in the month of August. “It is common in this winter season, the entry of cold fronts, more to the contrary, few cold fronts entered and as weak ones,” he said. According to Llanos, probably on Sunday Beni and Pando will enter low temperatures. “Temperatures are going to drop between 8 to 10 degrees Celsius as the cold front passes by,” he added.

Sobre los fuertes vientos y lluvias dispersas reportados el fin de semana en La Paz, el pronosticador indica que son comunes en el mes de agosto. “Es común en esta época de invierno, el ingreso de los frentes fríos, más al contrario ingresaron pocos frentes fríos y en calidad de débiles”, sostuvo. Según Llanos, probablemente al día domingo a Beni y Pando ingresen a temperaturas bajas. “Las temperaturas van a bajar entre 8 a 10 grados centígrados a su paso del frente frío”, añadió.
