March of the Interinstitutional Committee
- Governor Camacho challenged the justice operators to prosecute him in Santa Cruz due to the complaints filed in other departments for the 36-day strike.
- Vice Chancellor Vargas maintained that the Government attacks and instrumentalizes justice to persecute those who obeyed the mandate of the Santa Cruz plebiscite.
The “Great March for Justice and the Right to Protest” to which different sectors joined, last night toured institutions such as the Palace of Justice, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police Command. The mobilization called by the Inter-institutional Committee demanded the independence of powers and rejected the political persecution against Santa Cruz leaders.
The massive concentration showed its rejection against the alleged political persecution against the governor of Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho; the president of the Pro Santa Cruz Committee, Rómulo Calvo; and the rector of the Gabriel René Moreno Autonomous University (UAGRM), Vicente Cuéllar.
The mobilization did not have the presence of the civic president Rómulo Calvo, who has house arrest, and the rector of the Gabriel René Moreno Autonomous University (Uagrm), Vicente Cuéllar, who traveled to La Paz to obtain extraordinary support for the closing of the administration year of the house of higher studies.
In his address, Camacho assured that the complaints against the members of the Inter-institutional Committee for the 36 days of the strike in Santa Cruz, are promoted by the Movement for Socialism (MAS). Similarly, the authority challenged the justice operators to prosecute him in Santa Cruz for the complaints filed in other departments.
In addition, he assured that the Government intends to harm the department of Santa Cruz with political persecution, the encroachment of land, the partialization of justice and the restriction of exports.
The vice rector of the Uagrm, Reinerio Vargas, maintained that the Government attacks, instrumentalizing justice to prosecute those who obeyed the mandate of the Santa Cruz council.
The march was peaceful and closed with a rally in which the president of the Women’s Civic Committee, the representative of the University Federation of Professors, the civic vice-president, the vice-rector of the UAGRM and the governor of Santa Cruz intervened, who expressed their rejection of the situation of some people from Santa Cruz and expressed their positions on the future that lies ahead from the departmental perspective.

La “Gran marcha por la justicia y el derecho a la protesta” a la que se sumaron diferentes sectores, recorrió anoche instituciones como el Palacio de Justicia, la Fiscalía y el Comando de la Policía. La movilización convocada por el Comité Interinstitucional exigió la independencia de poderes y rechazó la persecución política contra líderes cruceños.
La masiva concentración mostró su rechazo en contra de la presunta persecución política contra el gobernador de Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho; el presidente del Comité Pro Santa Cruz, Rómulo Calvo; y el rector de la Universidad Autónoma Gabriel René Moreno (Uagrm), Vicente Cuéllar.
La movilización no contó con la presencia del presidente cívico Rómulo Calvo, quien tiene detención domiciliaria, y el rector de la Universidad Autónoma Gabriel René Moreno (Uagrm), Vicente Cuéllar, que viajó a La Paz para gestionar un soporte extraordinario para el cierre de gestión de la casa de estudios superiores.
En su alocución, Camacho aseguró que las denuncias en contra de los miembros del Comité Interinstitucional por los 36 días del paro en Santa Cruz, son impulsados por el Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS). De igual forma, la autoridad desafió a los operadores de justicia de procesarlo en Santa Cruz por las denuncias sentadas en otros departamentos.
Además, aseguró que el Gobierno tiene la intención de dañar al departamento cruceño con la persecución política, los avasallamientos de tierras, la parcialización de la justicia y la restricción de las exportaciones.
El vicerrector de la Uagrm, Reinerio Vargas, sostuvo que el Gobierno arremete, instrumentalizando la justicia para perseguir a quienes obedecieron el mandato del cabildo cruceño.
La marcha fue pacífica y cerró con un mitin en el que intervino la presidenta del Comité Cívico Femenino, la representante de la Federación Universitaria de Profesores, el vicepresidente cívico, el vicerrector de la Uagrm y el gobernador cruceño, quienes expresaron su rechazo a la situación jurídica de algunos cruceños y manifestaron sus posturas sobre el futuro que hay por delante desde la perspectiva departamental.
