Potosi. San Pedro de Buena Vista hosts from today the Toro Tinku 2022
The municipality of San Pedro de Buena Vista (north of Potosí) will be the scene of the Easter Festival “Toro tinku” 2022.
The activity will take place in that region of the country starting today [04/16/22] and will continue until tomorrow, according to the schedule established by the authorities of the commune of that population of Potosí.
The fierce fight of the brave bulls confronts the Patas and the Uras.
With the enactment of Law No. 3419 of June 8, 2006, both the tinku bull (bull fight) and the Easter festival have been declared regional, historical, cultural and tourist heritage of the municipality of San Pedro de Buena Vista, from the Charcas province of the department of Potosí, in recognition of its indisputable contribution to the preservation of values, cultural and tourist traditions in the construction of a national identity.
San Pedro de Buena Vista is located at a distance of approximately 205 km south of Cochabamba and 736 km from the city of Potosí. It has three entrances: one for Cochabamba, Cliza, Anzaldo, Acasio. Another through Capinota, Apilla Pampa, Iturata, and finally through Llallagua, Aymaya, Colloma, Chiro Q’asa, Sacani, Waylloma and San Pedro.

El municipio de San Pedro de Buena Vista (norte de Potosí) será escenario de la Fiesta de Pascua “Toro tinku” 2022.
La actividad se desarrollará en esa región del país a partir de hoy [16/04/22] y se extenderá hasta mañana, de acuerdo al cronograma que establecieron las autoridades de la comuna de esa población potosina.

Con la promulgación de la Ley de N°3419 del 8 de junio de 2006, tanto el toro tinku (pelea de toros) como la fiesta de la pascua han sido declaradas como patrimonio regional, histórico, cultural y turístico del municipio de San Pedro de Buena Vista, de la provincia Charcas del departamento de Potosí, como reconocimiento a su indiscutible aporte a la preservación de los valores, tradiciones culturales y turísticas en la construcción de una identidad nacional.
