We are all equal before the law
The national and municipal government engage in demagoguery, and the aforementioned phrase that “We are all equal before the Law” is a complete lie. Today, we will only focus on home taxes and the aforementioned discount. Let’s go by parts, this is what would be in force:

The 1886 Law of Rights and Privileges indicates that people over 60 years of age have the right to be served preferentially without queuing at the windows of any State office or private institutions. They must also receive a 20 percent discount on the consumption of water, electricity, real estate taxes, air, rail, river and land transport tickets at the local, interprovincial and interdepartmental level.
These rights and benefits cited are little known by older adults, and the State agencies, although they are aware of them, do not inform the favored ones or carry out controls for their compliance.“

The sad reality
When one wants to access that discount on housing tax, for being over 60 years old, the ordeal begins. In addition to not being treated as appropriate due to age and in compliance with the Law, many excuses are used and finally they tell you: your house is very luxurious, it is in a “well-off” neighborhood and finally they tell you that this discount does NOT apply to you, but to poor people.
Therefore, WE ARE NOT EQUAL BEFORE THE LAW, simply the demagoguery of the “progressive” politicians, of the governments in power. A lie of the MAS, verified!
Todos somos iguales ante la Ley
El gobierno nacional, y municipal hacen demagogia, y la mentada frase de que “Todos somos iguales ante la Ley” es una mentira completa. Hoy, solo nos concentramos en los impuestos a viviendas y el mentado descuento. Vamos por partes, esto es lo que estaría vigente:
“Ley 1886 de Derechos y Privilegios
La ley 1886 de Derechos y Privilegios indica que las personas mayores de 60 años tienen el derecho a ser atendidas con preferencia sin realizar filas en ventanillas de cualquier oficina del Estado o instituciones privadas. También deben recibir el descuento del 20 por ciento en el consumo del agua, luz, impuesto de inmuebles, pasajes del transporte aéreo, ferroviario, fluvial y terrestre a nivel local, interprovincial e interdepartamental.
Estos derechos y beneficios citados son poco conocidos por los adultos mayores, y las instancias del Estado, aunque las conozcan, no informan a los favorecidos ni realizan controles para su cumplimiento.“

La triste realidad
Cuando uno quiere acceder a ese descuento en el impuesto a viviendas, por tener más de 60 años, comienza el calvario. Además de no ser atendido como corresponde por la edad y en cumplimiento de la Ley, se esgrimen muchas excusas y finalmente le dicen a uno: su casa es muy lujosa, esta en un barrio “acomodado” y finalmente le dicen que ese descuento NO se aplica para usted, sino para gente pobre.
Por lo tanto, NO SOMOS IGUALES ANTE LA LEY, simplemente la demagogia de los politiqueros “progre”, de los gobiernos de turno. Una mentira del MAS, ¡verificada!
