They announce a mini entrance of Ch’utillos with dances this 26
The documentation is reviewed for the official presentation to UNESCO.
As part of the tasks to promote the application of the Ch’utillos festival as heritage, a commission has been formed to prepare the official application document for the festival before Unesco (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Culture, known for short as UNESCO). It is also planned to make an entry this March to be able to substantiate the candidacy.
This March 26 there will be a “mini entry” of Ch’utillos to highlight the importance of the festival, the feast of San Bartolomé and San Ignacio de Loyola.
In addition to the entrance, the Potosi fair of gastronomic traditions and traditional confectionery will be held. “We have coordinated. I will come the following week, because the documentation already exists, at this moment it is in translation. I am going to come to Potosí to receive physically and digitally all the documentation that we are going to take to UNESCO. For that we have agreed to make and carry out the mini entrance of the Ch’utillos party”, said the Minister of Cultures Sabina Orellana.
She argued that steps are being taken so that the Ch’utillos festivity can be declared as intangible heritage by UNESCO.
The State authority was in Potosí to be able to have meetings with different cultural representatives, to direct this candidacy.
“All the documentation to apply for the Ch’utillos festival has been worked on. On Friday the 11th, Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th, five people from the Ministry of Culture have been there to work on the official documentation that will be presented,” she added.
The technical documentation was collected by ministerial technicians and the Mayor’s Office of Potosí.
After meeting with municipal representatives, it was decided to form six commissions to substantiate photography, video, information, inventory, and translation material. The commissions work on the document that will be presented to UNESCO.

La documentación es revisada para la presentación oficial ante la Unesco.
Como parte de las tareas de impulso de la postulación de la festividad de Ch’utillos como patrimonio, se ha conformado una comisión elabora el documento oficial de postulación de la festividad ante la Unesco (Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura, conocida abreviadamente como Unesco). Asimismo se tiene previsto realizar una entrada este mes de marzo para poder fundamentar la candidatura.
Este 26 de marzo se realizará una “mini entrada” de Ch’utillos para destacar la importancia de la festividad, fiesta de San Bartolomé y San Ignacio de Loyola.
Además de la entrada se realizará la feria de las tradiciones gastronómica y de repostería tradicional potosina. “Hemos coordinado. Yo vendré la siguiente semana, porque la documentación ya existe, en este momento está en traducción. Voy a venir a Potosí a recibir de manera física y digital toda la documentación que vamos a llevar ante la Unesco. Para eso hemos acordado hacer y realizar la mini entrada de la fiesta de Ch’utillos”, dijo la ministra de Culturas Sabina Orellana.
Sostuvo que se está realizando las gestiones para que la festividad de Ch’utillos pueda ser declarada como patrimonio intangible ante la Unesco.
La autoridad de Estado estuvo en Potosí para poder tener reuniones con diferentes representantes culturales, para encaminar esta candidatura.
“Toda la documentación para postular la festividad de Ch’utillos se ha trabajado. El viernes 11, sábado 12 y domingo 13 han estado cinco personas del Ministerio de Culturas para trabajar la documentación oficial que se presentará”, agregó.
La documentación técnica fue recolectada por técnicos ministeriales y de la Alcaldía de Potosí.
Tras reunirse con representantes municipales se determinó conformar seis comisiones para fundamentar el material de fotografía, video, información, inventario, y traducción. Las comisiones trabajan en el documento que se presentará ante la Unesco.
