Wonder: the snowfall and the Tunari landscape dazzle

Neither the cold wave nor the persistent rain yesterday [03/16/2022] prevented dozens of families from enjoying the snowfall and the lagoons of the Cordillera del Tunari, in the extreme north of the metropolitan region.
The mountains woke up covered by a white blanket on Tuesday. The inhabitants of the highlands said that the intense cold forced them to postpone the potato harvest.
The snow cover reached up to 30 centimeters thick at the top and became the delight of young people and children who took the ice in their hands to form snowmen and other figures that they immortalized in photos.
The most animated did not hesitate to slide on the snow helped by tires. The snow also highlighted the springs, the native vegetation and the caravans of llamas that defied the cold.
Most of the people who got to see the snow did so in their vehicles or on hired trufis. Due to the rain and the height, some families chose to enter on foot to the area where the most snow fell.
However, during the rainy season it is recommended to climb with caution, because there is a risk of landslides.
Maravilla: deslumbran la nevada y el paisaje del Tunari
Ni la ola de frío ni la persistente lluvia impidieron ayer [16/03/2022] que decenas de familias disfruten de la nevada y de las lagunas de la Cordillera del Tunari, en el extremo norte de la región metropolitana.
Las montañas amanecieron cubiertas por un manto blanco, el martes. Los pobladores de las alturas contaron que el intenso frío los obligó a postergar la cosecha de la papa.
La capa de nieve alcanzó hasta unos 30 centímetros de espesor en la cima y se convirtió en el deleite de los jóvenes y niños que tomaron el hielo en sus manos para formar muñecos de nieve y otras figuras que inmortalizaron en fotos.
Los más animados no dudaron en resbalar sobre la nieve ayudados por neumáticos. La nieve también hizo resaltar las vertientes, la vegetación nativa y las caravanas de llamas que desafiaban el frío.
La mayoría de las personas que llegó a ver la nieve lo hizo en sus vehículos o en trufis contratados. Por la lluvia y la altura algunas familias optaron por ingresar a pie hasta la zona donde cayó más nieve.
Sin embargo, por época de lluvia se recomienda subir con precaución, debido a que hay riesgo de deslizamientos.
