Arce will spend more than Morales
As Minister of Economy, Luis Arce Catacora caused controversy in 2019, when in a television program he stated that with 100 Bolivians it was possible to buy the products of the family basket.
A year later, as a candidate, he assured that he never made that statement and that, in reality, it was the journalist of the television program who put the amount.
The truth is that we all know perfectly well that for at least a decade it has been impossible to fill the family basket with that amount.
Now, as president, not only his family basket is guaranteed with much more than 100 bolivianos, but also his transportation in the presidential plane, for which his government budgeted an amount of 38,005,357 Bolivians for the 2022 administration, more than double of the 18,290,572 Bolivians used this year. Página Siete revealed this Tuesday that the amount budgeted for the next management in the item “Presidential Plane Management” exceeds all annual budgets since 2014, when Evo Morales ruled the country. And if the family basket were filled with 100 bolivianos, with the amount allocated to the plane, 380,053 would be filled.

Como ministro de Economía, Luis Arce Catacora causó polémica en 2019, cuando en un programa de televisión afirmó que con 100 bolivianos era posible comprar los productos de la canasta familiar.
Un año después, como candidato, aseguró que él nunca hizo esa afirmación y que, en realidad, fue el periodista del programa televisivo quien puso el monto.
Lo cierto es que todos sabemos perfectamente que hace al menos una década es imposible llenar la canasta familiar con ese monto.
Ahora, como presidente, no solo su canasta familiar está garantizada con muchísimo más que los 100 bolivianos, sino también su transporte en el avión presidencial, para lo que su gobierno presupuestó un monto de 38.005.357 bolivianos para la gestión 2022, más del doble de los 18.290.572 bolivianos que se usaron este año. Página Siete reveló este martes que el monto presupuestado para la próxima gestión en el ítem de “Gestión Avión Presidencial” supera a todos los presupuestos anuales desde 2014, cuando gobernaba el país Evo Morales. Y si la canasta familiar se llenará con 100 bolivianos, con el monto destinado al avión se llenarían 380.053.
