Apdhb in the sights of MAS
This Wednesday [8/25/2021], the state media Ahora El Pueblo opened its edition with the headline “APDHB warns of Añez’s possible escape with the help of politicians and embassies,” based on a statement issued by its vice president Edgar Salazar. Instead, Amparo Carvajal, the president of that institution, led a march that demanded that the ex-president defend herself in freedom.
In coincidence with this, the ruling party is promoting a smear campaign against Carvajal and this is demonstrated by the insults, memes and photographic montages that are published against her on social networks, one of which was published by the state agency ABI.
But there is even more, yesterday [8/25/2021], groups related to the MAS tried to take over the facilities of the Permanent Assembly of Human Rights of Bolivia (Apdhb), according to the activist Franco Albarracín. Several photographs of the masista harassment of these facilities were published on social networks.
It is no longer unknown to anyone that the MAS divides the organizations to promote parallel leaderships related to its political objectives, but it would be serious, very serious, for it to achieve that in the Apdhb.
La Apdhb en la mira del MAS
Este miércoles [25/8/2021], el medio estatal Ahora El Pueblo abrió su edición con el titular “APDHB advierte posible fuga de Añez con ayuda de políticos y embajadas”, con base en un comunicado emitido por su vicepresidente Edgar Salazar. En cambio, Amparo Carvajal, la presidenta de esa institución, encabezó una marcha que reclamó que la exmandataria se defienda en libertad.
En coincidencia con ello, el oficialismo impulsa una campaña de desprestigio contra Carvajal y así lo demuestran los insultos, memes y montajes fotográficos que se publican contra ella en las redes sociales, uno de los cuales fue publicado por la agencia estatal ABI.
Pero aún hay más, ayer [25/8/2021],grupos afines al MAS intentaron tomar las instalaciones de la Asamblea Permanente de Derechos Humanos de Bolivia (Apdhb), según denunció el activista Franco Albarracín. Varias fotografías del acoso masista a esas instalaciones fueron publicadas en redes sociales.
Ya para nadie es desconocido que el MAS divide a las organizaciones para promover dirigencias paralelas afines a sus objetivos políticos, pero sería grave, muy grave, que logre eso en la Apdhb.
