Oposición califica de «insulto» a la población el presupuesto de Presidencia para catering
Legisladores de CC y Creemos anunciaron que iniciarán el proceso de fiscalización para evitar que este gasto se ejecute.
Legisladores de la oposición calificaron de “insulto” a la población que el Ministerio de la Presidencia presupueste Bs 799.289 para la alimentación del presidente Luis Arce y otro funcionarios de la Casa Grande del Pueblo. Coincidieron que es inadmisible que el Gobierno pretenda realizar ese gasto, cuando hay personas que no tienen comida.
El 30 de junio, Presidencia publicó en el Sistema de Contrataciones Estatales (Sicoes) una convocatoria de licitación para que una empresa se haga cargo del servicio de distribución de alimentos de tres pisos del nuevo Palacio de Gobierno. El monto señalado es para que brinden el servicio hasta el 31 de diciembre de este año o hasta que el presupuesto se termine.
“Se requiere la contratación de un proveedor, que realice la entrega de alimentos frescos y secos con todas las características requeridas y detallas en las especificaciones técnicas para las cocinas y cafeterías (cocina privada piso 10 atención, a su Excelencia), (cocina personal piso 9, atención a seguridad de Casa Grande del Pueblo y escolta presidencial), (cafetería piso 22 de atención a su Excelencia), (cafetería piso 21 atención a ministra de la Presidencia) y (garzones piso 9 atención a seguridad de Casa Grande del Pueblo y escolta presidencial)”, detalla el documento.
El diputado del Comunidad Ciudadana (CC), Jairo Guiteras, dijo que esto es una muestra de que el Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS) solo se encarga de disfrutar de los “placeres del poder”. Además que el hecho se constituye en un despilfarro de recursos del Estado cuando la población tiene necesidades.
“Es una muestra de despilfarro de recursos y, sobre todo, un insulto a los bolivianos que día a día luchan por conseguir los recursos económicos para llevar el pan de cada día a sus casas. (…) Se llenan la boca hablando de austeridad y de las necesidades del pueblo, y aquí, quienes llenan sus bolsillos y necesidades, son los entornos más vinculados al poder”, afirmó.
Por su parte, el senador de Creemos, Erik Morón, señaló que Arce y su entorno viven una realidad completamente diferente al resto de la población. Explicó que mientras la población tiene carencias por falta de empleos y la crisis económica, el Ejecutivo usa recursos públicos para darse lujos.
“Hoy en día muchas familias bolivianas no tiene el pan en la mesa, muchos departamentos han iniciado campañas para repartir víveres a la población. Pero en el Palacio se ve que se pretende dar un bufet de lujo con manjares, para personas selectas, cuando la realidad del pueblo es diferente”, indicó.
Tanto Guiteras como Morón anunciaron que como oposición iniciaron la fiscalización del tema. Además tratarán de evitar que este gasto “tan cuantioso”, para el alimento de Arce y algunos funcionarios, se pueda ejecutar.

On June 30, the Presidency published in the State Contracting System (Sicoes) a call for bids for a company to take charge of the three-story food distribution service of the new Government Palace. The amount indicated is for them to provide the service until December 31 of this year or until the budget is finished.
“It requires the hiring of a supplier, who delivers fresh and dry food with all the required characteristics and detailed in the technical specifications for kitchens and cafeterias (private kitchen 10th floor, attention to His Excellency), (personal kitchen floor 9, attention to security of Casa Grande del Pueblo and presidential escort), (cafeteria floor 22 of attention to His Excellency), (cafeteria floor 21 attention to Minister of the Presidency) and (waiters floor 9 attention to security of Casa Grande del Pueblo and presidential bodyguard),” the document details.
The deputy of the Citizen Community (CC), Jairo Guiteras, said that this is a sign that the Movement Toward Socialism (MAS) is only responsible for enjoying the “pleasures of power.” In addition, the fact constitutes a waste of State resources when the population has needs.
“It is a sign of waste of resources and, above all, an insult to Bolivians who day by day struggle to get the economic resources to bring their daily bread to their homes. (…) They fill their mouths talking about austerity and the needs of the people, and here, those who fill their pockets and needs are the entourage most linked to power,” he said.
On his side, the senator from Creemos, Erik Morón, pointed out that Arce and his surroundings live a completely different reality from the rest of the population. He explained that while the population has deficiencies due to lack of jobs and the economic crisis, the Executive uses public resources to afford luxuries.
“Today many Bolivian families do not have bread on the table, many departments have started campaigns to distribute food to the population. But in the Palace it is seen that it is intended to give a luxury buffet with delicacies, for select people, when the reality of the people is different,” he said.
Both Guiteras and Morón announced that, as an opposition, they began to audit the issue. They will also try to prevent this “so large” expense, for the food of Arce and some officials, from being executed.
Bolivian Thoughts
