We are not analyzing here the capacities (or lack thereof) that they have to occupy the positions they hold, that is another issue; for now we focus only on their lack of ethics, their lack of respect, their lack of empathy, their null adherence to the law.

Bolivians do not deserve godchildren, we need true public servants.

The godchildren of power

Andrea Martínez is not the only one, but she represents the godchildren of power very well. They are the kind of angry militants who, in the absence of arguments, use what little power they have at hand to show superiority, to crush the enemy, to break the rules. When they are discovered committing infractions, far from apologizing or resigning from their positions, as would happen in other countries of the world, in Bolivia they exhibit their power, claim to be godchildren of the president, call the police commander and, worst of all, threaten with prosecutions to others. They do not seek to make amends for their mistakes; on the contrary, they want everyone to know that they have a crumb of power and that with it they can intimidate the authorities and any good citizen to make them notice their mistakes.
