Bolivian farmers keep crops underground to protect them from extreme weather

Severe shifts in weather patterns have hit farmers in Bolivia hard. Some are now using the techniques of their ancestors to cope with the climate issues and save crops.

Extreme weather conditions have been felt around the world. But for countries facing other challenges such as underdevelopment or poverty, the effects are more acute.

In Bolivia traditional farming has been a way of life for thousands. And now some are looking to the past to deal with changing climate patterns.
