Susana Seleme writes in El Deber:
Of violence and lies
When State violence “is introduced in the social life, you are shouting ‘ I am violence… let me pass, if not, you shall be crushed…’.” When he can not pose his mighty arm, neither daily nor on each shoulder, calls in his help falsehood… then, he only asks to obey the lie… “, wrote the nobel Laureate Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, before being expelled from the Soviet Union in 1974.
Written by the man who suffered the worst rigors of Stalinism resembles the Bolivia of President Evo Morales and the ‘vice’ bolchevique-jacobine, Álvaro García Linera. To apply violence without looking like such, they resort to lying, as promoted by the Government with dead and wounded in Porvenir to defenestrate Leopoldo Fernández, former prefect of Pando, imprisoned for five years without sentence, just for being part of the political opposition. Or ‘judicial Guillotines’ against opponents, under any syndication without proof. Or terrorist-separatist mount against 39 accused, imprisoned or in exile, also without evidence, as separatists, violence and lies, who in this case was joined by the extortion, blackmail and the threat of jail the exemplary general of the Republic, Gary Prado, nowadays in a physically challenged condition.
How many people believe in the lie of the future case; or the terrorist-separatist plot against the separatists of Santa Cruz, Beni and Pando? Or the lies with which is judged to the Governor of Santa Cruz, Ruben Costas, which complied with the mandate of autonomy demanded by 86% of Santa Cruz society; or that led to Senator Roger Pinto to isolate in the Embassy of Brazil a year ago, while he still waits for the safe-conduct?
The use of violence, says Hanna Arendt, drift in that “any public issue in the debate arising discrepancies, is immediately disqualified and positioned as reactionary”. In Bolivia you define as right, neo-liberal and now guilty of promoting coups, like the demands of the COB for demanding equity in retirement: why the military getting 100% and the rest 60%?
Arendt suggests that when the discourse of ‘majorities’ becomes aggressive, reduces social being “to a body which needs to be destroyed and a soul that has to be manipulated…”. Like removing the soul of the k’haras [white people] for the sake of the ‘vice-president’?
To get rid of manipulations and lies back to Solzhenitsyn: “Even-though lie hides in all, and all encompasses it, it won’t be with my help”

Sorry situation of Bolivian citizens, too many lies, too many violence! We need to stop this nonsense and vote them out in the 2014 elections!
