Bolivian improvised authorities

This cartoon is from El Diario, Aug 21, 2011. Portrays current president about to fall while stepping in  a skate that reads “authorities’ improvisation,” in front of a hole; Bolivian citizens try to warn him while the political affiliates of current party in government just stare, without acknowledging the danger. The worst thing is that Bolivia is up in the top and with real danger to crash.

This situation is not only a sorry cartoon, it is what public servants have done, are doing or will do for the country. Long gone are the attempts to keep solid professionals in the government structure. Politics and demands for jobs under the current structure have resulted in poor decision-making and management of the public sector. Bolivia loses at the end.
