A 77-year-old woman went out for a walk with her dog and was found dead days later; the pet never left her side

The Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc) in Oruro reported the discovery of a 77-year-old woman found dead in an open field in the southern area of the city.
“The location is an open field in the southern part of our city. The victim is a 77-year-old woman, already identified,” said the head of the Felcc in Oruro, Martín Arequipa.
The report indicates that residents of the area alerted the Police to the presence of the body. A dog, the woman’s pet, was also found at the site.
“We contacted a police officer who confirmed the presence of the lifeless person. Later, we communicated with the victim’s daughter, who said that on November 12 her mother left her home with her pet,” he added.
After the discovery, the body was taken to the judicial morgue, where the corresponding autopsy was performed. The police chief explained the causes of death.
“The person did not show signs of violence. The cause of death is cerebral anoxia (lack of oxygen) and acute respiratory failure,” he stated.
Given the circumstances, the police chief said that the investigation into the death remains ongoing.

La Fuerza Especial de Lucha Contra el Crimen (Felcc) de Oruro reportó el hallazgo sin vida de una mujer de 77 años, cuyo cuerpo fue encontrado en un campo baldío de la zona sur de la ciudad.
“El lugar del hecho es un campo abierto en la zona sur de nuestra ciudad. La víctima es una mujer de 77 años de edad, ya identificada”, informó el director de la Felcc de Oruro, Martín Arequipa.
El reporte señala que vecinos del sector alertaron a la Policía sobre la presencia del cuerpo. Además, en el lugar se encontró a un perro que era mascota de la mujer fallecida.
“Tomamos contacto con un funcionario policial que confirmó la presencia de la persona sin vida. Posteriormente, nos comunicamos con la hija de la víctima, quien refirió que el 12 de noviembre su madre salió de su domicilio junto a su mascota”, agregó.
Tras el hallazgo, el cuerpo fue trasladado a la morgue judicial, donde se le practicó la autopsia de ley. El jefe policial explicó las causas del fallecimiento.
“La persona no presentaba signos de violencia. La causa de la muerte es anoxia cerebral (falta de oxigeno) e insuficiencia respiratoria aguda”, indicó.
Por las circunstancias del hecho, el jefe policial señaló que la investigación sobre el deceso continúa en curso.
