Without waiting for the runoff
The elected caucuses must begin their work; two months cannot be wasted, said Jorge Quiroga Ramírez, stressing that the country is facing a dire economic situation marked by high market prices, a shortage of dollars, fuel scarcity, and unemployment. He also emphasized that this crisis must be addressed promptly.
“We know the economic crisis continues to hit hard, that responses are needed, and that profound changes are required along with full autonomy, Digital Bolivia, and ensuring new laws. I believe it is very important that, while the runoff takes place, we do not waste time, that congressional caucuses start working with the sectors,” said Quiroga.
According to quick-count results at 96%, in the new composition of the Senate, the Christian Democratic Party (PDC) would secure 13 senators, the Free Alliance would win 11 seats.
Meanwhile, the Unity Alliance would reach 6 senators, and APB-Súmate would secure 1 seat; 5 seats remain to be decided. In the runoff, only the President and Vice President are elected; parliamentary seats will not change.
In this context, Quiroga stated that there are proposals for laws on hydrocarbons, mining, agriculture, and lithium. “We cannot lose two months; two decades have already been lost (with MAS). We cannot waste two more months, and the caucuses must begin working to reach consensus,” he concluded. (With data from Unitel)

Sin esperar resultado de segunda vuelta
Las bancadas electas deben comenzar a trabajar, no se puede esperar dos meses, dijo Jorge Quiroga Ramírez enfatizando que el país sufre una angustiosa situación económica que aqueja a la ciudadanía con precios altos en los mercados, falta de dólares, escasez de combustible, además del desempleo, remarcando también que esta crisis debe ser atendida con prontitud.
“Sabemos que la crisis económica sigue golpeando duramente, que se necesitan respuestas y se requiere cambios profundos junto con la autonomía total, la Bolivia Digital, el garantizar nuevas leyes y me parece muy importante, que mientras se desarrolla la segunda vuelta, no perdamos tiempo, que las bancadas congresales empecemos a trabajar con los sectores”, señaló Quiroga.
Según los resultados del conteo rápido al 96%, en la nueva composición de la Cámara de Senadores, el Partido Demócrata Cristiano (PDC) obtendría 13 senadores; la Alianza Libre alcanzaría 11 representantes.
Mientras que a Alianza Unidad alcanzaría a 6 senadores y APB-Súmate lograría 1 curul; 5 escaños están por definirse. En segunda vuelta, solo se elige a Presidente y Vicepresidente, los parlamentarios no tendrán cambios.
En ese contexto, Quiroga expresó que se tienen propuestas para leyes de hidrocarburos, minería, agropecuaria, litio por lo que “no podemos perder dos meses, se ha perdido ya dos décadas (con el MAS), no podemos derrochar dos meses, y que empiece a trabajar las bancadas para consensuar”.
