Senamhi warns of a sharp temperature drop for Monday and Tuesday

This week, temperature drops between 6 and 12 degrees Celsius are expected, mainly affecting the regions of Chuquisaca, Santa Cruz, and Tarija.

The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology (Senamhi) forecasted that on Monday, June 23, and Tuesday, June 24, there will be sharp temperature drops in Bolivia. Frosts are even expected in three regions.

According to a report from the institution, shared on its official social media accounts and website, the temperature drops are expected to range between six and 12 degrees Celsius. The lowest readings will occur in the highland areas of La Paz, Oruro, and Potosí, ranging from four to minus four degrees.

The report also warns of frosts in the valleys of Chuquisaca—specifically in the provinces of Nor and Sud Cinti, Boeto, Tomina, Azurduy, Yamparáez, Zudañez, and Oropeza; in Santa Cruz, in Vallegrande, Florida, and Caballero; and in Tarija, in Arce, Avilez, Cercado, and Méndez.
