A family from the Cotoca neighborhood of Trinidad had a big surprise when they opened the bathroom and found an alligator that was alive and that somehow got into the place.
“After he relieved himself, ‘Juancho’ was rescued by the team of Volunteer Firefighters led by Commander Camilo Meneses and Sergeant Cuéllar de Pofoma,” wrote Marco Antonio Greminger Céspedes.
According to Beni media, in recent weeks there have been sightings of several alligators in the streets and even homes in Trinidad. They attribute this situation to the rains and the canals found around the city.
The animal at the time of being found
Previous sightings were recorded on December 22, when an alligator was found inside the Luis Espinal educational unit.
On December 3, the Taxi Noticias page reported that a dog was attacked by a reptile in a plaza.
On November 22, an alligator was seen on Ganadera Avenue, a few meters from the Joaquin Hurtado educational unit.

Una gran sorpresa le tocó vivir a una familia del barrio Cotoca de Trinidad cuando al abrir el baño se encontraron con un lagarto [caiman] que estaba vivo y que de alguna manera se metió al lugar.
“Después que realizó sus necesidades fisiológicas ‘Juancho’ fue rescatado por el equipo de Bomberos Voluntarios a cargo del comandante Camilo Meneses y el sargento Cuéllar de Pofoma”, escribió Marco Antonio Greminger Céspedes.
De acuerdo a medios benianos, las últimas semanas se han registrado avistamientos de varios lagartos en las calles e incluso viviendas de Trinidad. Atribuyen esta situación a las lluvias y a los canales que se encuentran alrededor de la ciudad.
El animal al momento de ser encontrado
Anteriores avistamientos se registraron el 22 de diciembre, cuando un lagarto fue encontrado al interior de la unidad educativa Luis Espinal.
El 3 de diciembre la página Taxi Noticias reportó que un perro fue atacado por un reptil en una plaza.
El 22 de noviembre, fue visto un largo en la avenida Ganadera, a pocos metros de la unidad educativa Joaquin Hurtado.
