A Group of Cows Spotted Using a Footbridge | Captan a un grupo de vacas usando una pasarela

By Unitel, El Diario:

On the La Paz-Oruro highway, a herd of cows was spotted using the footbridge to cross the road.

A video of a group of cows crossing the Oruro-La Paz highway alone (without human guidance) using a footbridge has gone viral on TikTok. The sight of the disciplined cattle prompted praise for the animals’ intelligence and negative comparisons with humans.

“Cows are more aware and educated than humans,” wrote one user, garnering over a hundred likes.

The event occurred on a section of the dual carriageway Oruro-La Paz highway, reportedly near the Chirapaca community in the Los Andes province, according to a commenter.

The video, shared by user @landacleta, begins with a shot of a long footbridge equipped with ramps instead of stairs, seemingly designed for animal crossings. This detail made the scene even more remarkable, demonstrating that farm animals have memory and can “make good use of things.”

“Look at their road safety awareness—cows using the footbridge. They already know,” said the man in awe as he cycled toward La Paz.

The video, which has reached 61,800 likes and generated over 1,000 comments, sparked admiration for the animals’ ability and some critical remarks about Bolivians’ road safety habits.

Dual carriageways are known for being the main routes connecting the country’s departments, with vehicles traveling at high speeds that sometimes result in traffic accidents. (With data from Unitel)
