To ensure the safety of interdepartmental passengers, the La Paz mayor’s office, Transit, and ATT launched the “Safe Terminal, Safe Passenger” app. Users can access it via a QR code and report any irregularities.

“We are introducing this QR code to provide passengers direct contact with the institutions operating inside the terminal. If they sense or notice any irregularity, they can connect in real-time with the Children’s Defense Offices, Transit Police, or the Physical Security Battalion,” stated Iveliz Asturizaga, director of the La Paz Bus Terminal.

Reports will address irregularities occurring within the terminal, such as unauthorized charges, criminal acts, mistreatment, dangerous driving by bus operators, human trafficking, and more.

“Passengers can report any observed wrongdoing. This app connects you to ATT, the Transit Police, and the Physical Security Police. With this QR code, passengers can interact with authorities regarding any irregularity,” explained Edison Gareca, departmental commander of Transit.

The QR codes will be visible throughout the terminal on signs and screens. Passengers only need to describe the incident and provide the exact location. The report will be processed, and users can track their cases.
