Monsignor Centellas: “it is important to work on laws that give priority to work, seeking the well-being of those most in need”
Sucre (Agenzia Fides) – The Minister of the Presidency of the Bolivian government, María Nela Prada, has announced that the government has decided to withdraw the bill against the legitimization of illicit profits, to avoid confrontations between Bolivians and the destabilization of the country by certain groups that rely on disinformation campaigns. The President of the Bolivian Episcopal Conference, Mgr. Ricardo Centellas, Archbishop of Sucre, appreciated the government’s decision and at the same time asked to increase efforts on the road to peace among Bolivians and to solve the most urgent problems.
“Any law that is not consensual tends to generate rejection and cause discomfort among the population – commented the Archbishop in the note sent to Fides -. That is why it is important to work on laws that give priority to work, seeking the well-being of those most in need. If the laws that pursue or consolidate the damage to other sectors are prioritized, there will be this type of conflict that only increases the polarization of the country. Now we must work to unify the sectors and work for peace in a country where the slightest situation can unleash a spiral of conflict and violence. That’s where we don’t want to go”.

Sucre (Agencia Fides) – La ministra de la Presidencia del gobierno boliviano, María Nela Prada, ha anunciado que el gobierno ha decidido retirar el proyecto de ley contra la legitimación de ganancias ilícitas, para evitar enfrentamientos entre bolivianos y la desestabilización del país por parte de ciertos grupos que se basan en campañas de desinformación.
El presidente de la Conferencia Episcopal Boliviana, Mons. Ricardo Centellas, el arzobispo de Sucre, se ha congratulado de la decisión del gobierno y al mismo tiempo ha pedido que se redoblen los esfuerzos en el camino hacia la paz entre los bolivianos y la solución de los problemas más urgentes. “Cualquier ley que no sea consensuada tiende a generar rechazo y malestar entre la población – ha comentado el Arzobispo en la nota recibida en Fides -. Por eso es importante trabajar en leyes que den prioridad al trabajo, buscando el bienestar de los más necesitados. Si se priorizan las leyes que persiguen o consolidan el daño a otros sectores, se tendrá este tipo de conflictos que sólo aumentan la polarización del país. Ahora debemos trabajar para unificar los sectores y trabajar por la paz en un país en el que la más mínima situación puede desencadenar una espiral de conflicto y violencia. Ahí es donde no queremos llegar”.
