Cívicos Cruceños affirm that Arce insulted the Bolivians
The president of the Committee for Santa Cruz, Rómulo Calvo, described as a lack of respect to Santa Cruz and Bolivia, the speech that President Luis Arce delivered on Friday night, during the opening ceremony of Expocruz 2021. The first authority of the country broke into this important event, with derogatory qualifications against all Bolivians who defended democracy at a critical moment that the country had to live in 2019.
On the occasion, Arce reiterated that the government of Jeanine Añez was de facto and that it was the product of a coup, in the same way that he has referred to the management of the former president in his previous interventions, since he assumed office on November 8.
“The sad intervention of Luis Arce in our Expocruz. The President not only insulted the people of Santa Cruz on our anniversary month, but also all Bolivians who defended democracy from the fraud of the dictator Evo Morales and the MAS,” Calvo posted on his Twitter account.
“Even if it hurts them, they will never erase the history of Bolivia, the peaceful struggle of a united people against tyranny and fraud, and that the tyrant fled like a coward. God Bless Santa Cruz!” he added in the thread of the same tweet.
Arce took advantage of his speech to greet the anniversary (for the departmental anniversary) loaded with data on what, according to the numbers he handles, is invested in Santa Cruz. The speech lasted 53 minutes and, in the last part, the head of state had to raise his voice to cover the shouts of “fraud”, launched by a block of the guests after he resumed the story of “coup d’etat” near the end of his speech.
Governor Luis Fernando Camacho, who was absent from the event, because he had an agenda to fulfill in Chiquitania, had already expressed himself last night on Twitter and Facebook about Arce’s intervention on the first day of the fair.

El presidente del Comité pro Santa Cruz, Rómulo Calvo, calificó como una falta de respeto a Santa Cruz y a Bolivia, el discurso que el presidente Luis Arce emitió la noche del viernes, durante el acto de inauguración de la Expocruz 2021. La primera autoridad del país irrumpió este importante acontecimiento, con calificativos despectivos contra todos los bolivianos que defendieron la democracia en un momento crítico que le tocó vivir al país en 2019.
En la oportunidad, Arce reiteró que el gobierno de Jeanine Añez fue de facto y que fue producto de un golpe de Estado, de la misma forma en que se ha referido a la gestión de la expresidenta en sus anteriores intervenciones, desde que asumió el cargo el 8 de noviembre.
“La triste intervención de Luis Arce en nuestra Expocruz. El Presidente no solo insultó a los cruceños en nuestro mes aniversario, sino a todos los bolivianos que defendieron la democracia del fraude del dictador Evo Morales y el MAS”, publicó Calvo en su cuenta de Twitter.
“Así les duela, nunca van a borrar la historia de Bolivia, la lucha pacífica de un pueblo unido en contra de la tiranía y del fraude, y que el tirano huyó como un cobarde. ¡Dios Bendiga a Santa Cruz!”, añadió en el hilo del mismo tuit.
Arce aprovechó su discurso para saludar el aniversario (por la efeméride departamental) cargado de datos de lo que, según los números que maneja, se invierte en Santa Cruz. La alocución se extendió por 53 minutos y, en su última parte, el jefe de Estado tuvo que elevar la voz para tapar los gritos de “fraude”, lanzados por un bloque de los invitados luego de que él retomara el relato de “golpe de Estado” casi al final de su alocución.
El gobernador Luis Fernando Camacho, que estuvo ausente del acto, porque tenía una agenda que cumplir en la Chiquitania, ya se había manifestado anoche en Twitter y Facebook acerca de la intervención de Arce en la primera jornada de feria.
