¿La idea es matarla?
Jamás en la historia democrática de Bolivia se vio un maltrato tan injusto, insensible e inhumano contra un exmandatario del país como lo hace el Gobierno de Luis Arce Catacora contra la expresidenta Jeanine Áñez.
Ya lo dicen los comentarios de quienes vivieron en persona la historia de las últimas cinco décadas: ni al dictador militar Luis García Meza se humilló como se lo hace contra una mujer como Áñez que tuvo la desdicha de estar como segunda vicepresidenta del Senado cuando Evo Morales renunció y huyó en medio de la noche dejando un peligroso vacío de poder en un país tomado por la violencia en 2019.
Sin ella buscarlo ni pretenderlo, a Áñez le tocó asumir la Presidencia de Bolivia por sucesión constitucional porque así mandan las leyes, como luego avaló el Tribunal Constitucional Plurinacional que ahora se hace al desentendido porque sus miembros repusieron su lealtad hacia el Gobierno del Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS).
Su encarcelamiento arbitrario por orden del Gobierno, la negación sistemática de una justicia servil que no le concede el derecho a defenderse en libertad, ni siquiera bajo detención domiciliaria, el escarnio que se hace con ella prohibiéndole recibir visitas, ni que tenga un televisor en su celda y el abuso permanente cuando se le niega atención médica especializada son apenas unas pocas señales de la venganza política que casi con seguridad viene de Evo Morales y que operan desde el Poder Ejecutivo los colaboradores a su servicio.
¿Puede el odio personal de Morales llegar al extremo de no importarle la salud de una mujer mayor tras las rejas y el sufrimiento de sus hijos, solo por mostrar al país un trofeo político de quien dice: “Vean, si a una expresidenta, siendo mujer, y sin culpa de haber llegado al poder le hacemos esto, ¿imaginen lo que podemos con las demás personas que nos incomoden?”. Pues sí, en el caso de Evo Morales sí, eso y cosas peores también.
Por orden del Ministerio de Gobierno, a la expresidenta los policías la sacan de su celda sin avisar ni a su defensa ni a sus familiares, la llevan desde la cárcel ubicada en la zona de Miraflores de La Paz hasta un hospital a una supuesta revisión médica, nada menos que a El Alto.
La zona de Miraflores está llena de hospitales y clínicas públicas, pero el Gobierno la manda hasta El Alto.
Después de la supuesta revisión, le recetan paracetamol y clonazepam, un ansiolítico que en opinión de los médicos mantiene dopado a un paciente.
Las imágenes que se conocieron de sus traslados con un aparatoso operativo policial cual se tratara de un peligroso delincuente mostraron el drama humano de una mujer que perdió muchos kilos de peso, que se observa visiblemente débil y que apenas alcanza a extender un brazo al escuchar el grito de “Mami, ¡qué te hicieron mami!?” de su hija Carolina, a quien los policías impiden que se acerque a su madre.
Todo esto ocurrió mientras la secretaria ejecutiva de la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH), Tania Reneaum, se encontraba en La Paz, la misma que no tuvo el detalle de recibir una carta de la hija de la expresidenta ni mucho menos de manifestar su opinión para cuestionar el procedimiento del Gobierno contra una mujer o exigir que se cumpla el debido proceso.
Jeanine Áñez ya fue trofeo político de Evo Morales, Luis Arce y el MAS. ¿Qué más se pretende con ella ahora? ¿La idea es que se muera en prisión como parece que podría ocurrir por el delicado estado de la señora? No se puede ser tan canalla en la vida.

Never in the democratic history of Bolivia has there been such an unjust, insensitive and inhuman mistreatment against a former president of the country as the Government of Luis Arce Catacora does against former President Jeanine Áñez.
The comments of those who lived in person the history of the last five decades already say it: not even the military dictator Luis García Meza was humiliated as it is done against a woman like Áñez who had the misfortune of being the second vice president of the Senate when Evo Morales resigned and fled in the middle of the night leaving a dangerous power vacuum in a country taken over by violence in 2019.
Without it seeking or trying to do so, Áñez had to assume the Presidency of Bolivia by constitutional succession because that is how the laws rule, as later endorsed by the Plurinational Constitutional Court, which is now aiming to be disengaged because its members restored their loyalty to the Government of the Movement to Socialism (MAS).
Her arbitrary incarceration by order of the Government, the systematic denial of a servile justice that does not grant her the right to defend herself in freedom, not even under house arrest, the derision that is made of her forbidding her to receive visits, nor that she has a television on her cell and permanent abuse when she is denied specialized medical attention are just a few signs of the political revenge that almost certainly comes from Evo Morales and that the collaborators in his service operate from the Executive Power.
Can Morales’s personal hatred reach the extreme of not caring about the health of an older woman behind bars and the suffering of her children, just for showing the country a political trophy of someone who says: woman, and without guilt of having come to power we do this to her, imagine what we can do with other people who make us uncomfortable? Well, yes, in the case of Evo Morales, yes, that and worse things too.
By order of the Ministry of Government, the police remove the former president from her cell without notifying her defense or her relatives, they take her from the jail located in the Miraflores area of La Paz to a hospital for an alleged medical examination, nothing less than El Alto.
The Miraflores area is full of public hospitals and clinics, but the government sends her to El Alto.
After the supposed review, she is prescribed with paracetamol and clonazepam, an anxiolytic that in the opinion of doctors keeps a patient drugged.
The images that were known of her transfers with a spectacular police operation that was about a dangerous criminal showed the human drama of a woman who lost many kilos of weight, who is visibly weak and who barely reaches out an arm when listening to the shout “Mommy, what did they do to you mommy!?” of her daughter Carolina, whom the police prevent from approaching her mother.
All this happened while the executive secretary of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), Tania Reneaum, was in La Paz, the same one who did not have the courtesy of receiving a letter from the daughter of the former president, much less expressing her opinion to question the government’s procedure against a woman or demand that due process be observed.
Jeanine Áñez was already a political trophy for Evo Morales, Luis Arce and the MAS. What else is intended with her now? Is the idea that she dies in prison as it seems that could happen because of the delicate state of the lady? Can’t be that scoundrel in life.
