Mesura y tino en las declaraciones
El desempeño de cualquier función pública o privada debe ser causa o motivo suficiente para contar con mucha información que merezca llegar al pueblo; cumplir la función de explicar y hacer partícipe al público de cualquier acontecimiento siempre es bueno y constructivo; pero en determinadas situaciones hay normas de procedimiento que tienen que ser cumplidas para dar a conocer lo que reclama el público: tino, prudencia y mesura.
Los apresuramientos por “salir del paso”, diciendo cualquier cosa y como sea, no debe ser recurso de quien tiene algo que informar o declarar. Las normas de educación, el buen uso del idioma, el tino y la cordura deben ser condiciones de quien dice algo, porque el público tiene derecho a que se le brinde información y quien declara tiene la obligación de ser correcto, amable, claro, preciso y veraz. Y es que, de otro modo, la mentira, la falsedad y las formas o modos engañosos no sirven y solamente dan lugar a que la institución por la que se emite una declaración no merezca respeto ni consideración, debido a formas incorrectas con las que son manejados los asuntos públicos y privados que, en todo caso, son inherentes al público.
Muchas veces ocurre que autoridades de “alto rango” creen que su misión termina al expresar cualquier cosa y como sea, sin guardar los respetos y consideraciones que merece la audiencia a quien se dirige. Autoridad no implica prepotencia y menos malas maneras y pésima educación. Quienes están más alto deben cuidar mucho sus modales, su forma de dirigirse a un público con derecho a conocer todo lo que compete al país. Lo que diga un funcionario no es, en modo alguno, concesión graciosa o gratuita; es, siempre, un deber y una forma de ser parte de cualquier poder en el cual trabaje o cuya representación ejerce al recibir la encomienda de informar, declarar y dar a conocer lo que corresponde a la salud del pueblo, que no debe estar sujeto a informaciones falseadas o comentarios desvirtuados por intereses creados.
Careful and wise in the statements
The performance of any public or private function must be sufficient cause or motive to have a lot of information that deserves to reach the people; fulfilling the function of explaining and involving the public in any event is always good and constructive; But in certain situations, there are procedural rules that have to be followed in order to make what the public demands known: wisdom, prudence, and moderation.
The haste to “get out of the way”, saying anything and whatever, should not be the resource of someone who has something to report or declare. The norms of education, the good use of the language, the wisdom and the sanity must be conditions of who says something, because the public has the right to be given information and who declares has the obligation to be correct, kind, clear, precise and truthful. And it is that, otherwise, lies, falsehood and deceptive forms or ways do not serve and only result in the institution for which a statement is issued does not deserve respect or consideration, due to incorrect forms with which they are managed the public and private affairs that, in any case, are inherent to the public.
Many times it happens that “high-ranking” authorities believe that their mission ends by expressing anything and whatever, without respecting and considering the audience to whom it is addressed. Authority does not imply arrogance and less bad manners and terrible education. Those who are higher must take great care of their manners, their way of addressing an audience with the right to know everything that concerns the country. What an official says is not, in any way, a funny or gratuitous concession; it is always a duty and a way of being part of any power in which it works or whose representation it exercises when receiving the task of informing, declaring and making known what corresponds to the health of the people, which should not be subject to falsified information or comments distorted by vested interests.
