The Greeks say that after shaking hands with an Albanian you should count your fingers. Bolivians may have to say the same about Russians, now that they have shaken hands.
It is that the agreement with Russia for vaccines is turning into a nightmare that comes in chapters.
To begin with, there is the story of the “confidentiality clause” whereby the Luis Arce government cannot explain what it has offered Russia in exchange for vaccines.
The Economist Intelligencia Unit says that the day after the contract was signed, the Bolivian government received a call from Moscow to inform that Russia has an interest in Bolivian territories where “rare earths” exist. Something like a pound of meat. A piece of Bolivia.
The subject, reproduced by Siglo 21, has been flatly ignored by the national government and by almost all the media, it is not known for what reasons. Any veto? Afraid?
It would have been appropriate to know, for example, if confidentiality established that if Russia did not fulfill its commitments to send the vaccine on the agreed dates, the Bolivian “rare earth” territories could decrease in extension. A penalty for breach of contract.
In passing, as one who does not say anything, the government said that it has asked Moscow to reveal, within three years, the content of the contract, according to El Deber. Three years!!!
And it has only announced that the second dose of the Sputnik-V vaccine will be applied not in 20 days, but in 90, because the agreed shipments did not arrive. And period.
And now it happens that the government of Spain announces that it will accept the arrival of foreigners to its territory as long as they have been vaccinated, but not those who have received Sputnik-V. This vaccine has not been approved by the European Medicines Agency or the WHO.
Are we giving up national sovereignty in exchange for vaccines that do not arrive, that perhaps do not work, and that are not recognized by other countries?
With this commitment of the masista government to buy only Russian or Chinese vaccines, Bolivians have been condemned not to step on countries in the democratic orbit of the world. We can only travel the route of the world’s autocracies.
We are giving too much to the Russians in exchange for those vaccines. And they are humiliating us.
Will anyone ask for explanations for all that? Will the “opposition” say something? Who can we turn to to report these aberrations?

Es que el acuerdo con Rusia para las vacunas se está convirtiendo en una pesadilla que llega por capítulos.
Para comenzar, está la historia de la “cláusula de confidencialidad” por la cual el gobierno de Luis Arce no puede explicar qué ha ofrecido a Rusia a cambio de las vacunas.
Dice The Economist Intelligencia Unit que al día siguiente de firmado el contrato, el gobierno boliviano recibió una llamada desde Moscú para informar que Rusia tiene interés en territorios bolivianos donde existan “tierras raras”. Algo así como una libra de carne. Un pedazo de Bolivia.
El tema, reproducido por Siglo 21, ha sido ignorado rotundamente por el gobierno nacional y por casi todos los medios, no se sabe por qué razones. ¿Algún veto? ¿Miedo?
Hubiera sido oportuno saber, por ejemplo, si la confidencialidad establecía que en caso de que Rusia no cumpliera sus compromisos de envío de la vacuna en las fechas convenidas, los territorios bolivianos de “tierras raras” podrían disminuir en extensión. Una sanción por incumplimiento de contrato.
De pasada, como quien no dice nada, el gobierno dijo que ha pedido a Moscú que revele, dentro de tres años, el contenido del contrato, según El Deber. ¡Tres años!!!
Y solo ha anunciado que la segunda dosis de la vacuna Sputnik-V sea aplicada no en 20 días, sino en 90, porque no llegaron los envíos convenidos. Y punto.
Y ahora ocurre que el gobierno de España anuncia que aceptará la llegada de extranjeros a su territorio siempre que hayan sido vacunados, pero no a los que hubieran recibido la Sputnik-V. Esa vacuna no ha sido aprobada por la Agencia Europea de Medicamentos ni la OMS.
¿Estamos entregando soberanía nacional a cambio de unas vacunas que no llegan, que quizá no sirven, y que no son reconocidas por otros países?
Con este compromiso del gobierno masista de comprar solamente vacunas rusas o chinas, los bolivianos hemos sido condenados a no pisar países de la órbita democrática del mundo. Sólo podremos viajar por la ruta de las autocracias del mundo.
Estamos entregando demasiado a los rusos a cambio de esas vacunas. Y nos están humillando.
¿Alguien pedirá explicaciones por todo eso? ¿La “oposición” dirá algo? ¿A quién podemos acudir para denunciar estas aberraciones?
