The wiphala
In a statement made to television, the Aymara politician and philosopher Fernando Untoja declared that the wiphala was a recent invention. No ancestors or thousands of years old of which there are no traces. According to Untoja, Don Germán Choquehuanca invented it at his house and even using his computer. He did it to create a symbolism of the Indian world to contrast it with the national tricolor. This wiphala, of which we had great doubts about its authenticity, because the colored checkered cloth had already been used by the Spanish thirds of Carlos V in Flanders, not only that it is a confrontational and dangerous fiction, but it was included as a national symbol , next to the tricolor, in the deplorable Constitution of 2009.
Therefore, the wiphala has only appeared this century alongside the red, yellow and green, and it shines in the Government Palace, in the Assembly, in the ministries, in all public events, in military and police uniforms and They want to impose it in the departments of Bolivia, above the flags of each region, which are many years old.
Untoja has witnessed this invention of Don Germán Choquehuanca, he has expressed it and we do not have to doubt his word, because he is a serious man. But, in the meantime, the people of Santa Cruz are going to continue rejecting that Andean affront and we will continue to haul it where we find it, all the more so if they want to make it wave in our civic acts.
When this poor Constitution is replaced, it will have to be changed almost in its entirety as useless, but the constituents should not forget to eliminate a series of existing vulgarities, among which is this lying and provocative symbol that they want to stuff us above our created departmental bicolor, in 1864 by Don Tristán Roca.

En unas declaraciones vertidas a la televisión, el político y filósofo aimara Fernando Untoja declaró que la wiphala era un invento reciente. Nada de ancestros ni de miles de años de antigüedad de lo que no hay rastros. Según Untoja la inventó, en su casa y utilizando hasta su computadora, don Germán Choquehuanca. Lo hizo para crear un simbolismo del mundo indio para contraponerlo a la tricolor nacional. Esta wiphala, de la que teníamos grandes dudas sobre su autenticidad, porque el paño ajedrezado de colores ya había sido utilizado por los tercios españoles de Carlos V en Flandes, no solo que es una ficción confrontadora y peligrosa, sino que fue incluida como símbolo nacional, al lado de la tricolor, en la deplorable Constitución del 2009.
Por lo tanto, la wiphala ha aparecido recién este siglo al lado de la rojo, amarillo y verde, y luce en el Palacio de Gobierno, en la Asamblea, en los ministerios, en todos los actos públicos, en los uniformes militares y policiales y la quieren imponer en los departamentos de Bolivia, por encima de las banderas de cada región, que sí tienen muchos años de antigüedad.
Untoja ha sido testigo de este invento de don Germán Choquehuanca, lo ha expresado y no tenemos por qué dudar de su palabra, porque es un hombre serio. Pero, entretanto, los cruceños vamos a seguir rechazando esa afrenta andina y seguiremos arriándola donde la hallemos, tanto más si se la quiere hacer ondear en nuestros actos cívicos.
Cuando esta pobre Constitución sea reemplazada, habrá que cambiarla casi en su integridad por inservible, pero no deberán olvidar los constituyentes eliminar una serie de chabacanerías existentes, entre las que está este símbolo mentiroso y provocador que nos quieren embutir por encima de nuestra bicolor departamental creada en 1864 por don Tristán Roca.
