The Persians are coming

Humberto Vacaflor writes for El Diario, old picture at the bottom is from the early days of evo in government, he always showed preference to meet with Iran, Libya, Siria autocrats:

The noises of the Persian armies are getting closer and closer to Bolivian reality, as it had happened to the Greeks 2,500 years ago, when Xerxes’ troops were advancing menacingly.

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif arrived in Bolivia a few days after the visit made by Michael Pompeo, Secretary of State of the United States, to the Triple Frontier, where he signed an agreement with Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay to confront terrorism Hezbollah and drug trafficking.

With Zarif’s visit, the Persians were making an appearance in the region, visiting their most reliable beach headwaters, Venezuela and Bolivia, to show the United States that this game is just beginning.

George W. Bush had proposed to call “the axis of evil” to this international alliance of which Iran is a part and now has the participation of Russia and China. It was the only smart idea of the Texan.

The president of Colombia, Iván Duque, proposes another name for this alliance to which Bolivia has joined by decision of President Evo Morales, and no one else. Duque proposes that this axis be called “transnational organized crime.” The name is a little longer, but more appropriate, because it refers to the business nature of this axis: drug financing.

At this moment, Duque is checking how the FARC has decided to join this axis and renounce to comply with the peace agreements signed in Cuba by the government of Juan Manuel Santos.

Iván Márquez, leader of a fraction of the FARC, had made the announcement earlier this year: the priority of the Colombian “combatants” at this time is to defend the government of Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela, he said.

Bolivia has become the southernmost beachhead of this transnational. Last week, Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court had to ask Petrobras to sell fuels to two Iranian ships that had arrived loaded with urea and two months earlier and had to leave back with Brazilian corn. Petrobras did not sell them fuel for fear of US sanctions. Argentina, Clarín says, has become picky about the possibility that Persian “nanotechnology” will be used on Argentina’s border with Bolivia. And it has ruled out the business of delivering Pampa III aircraft as part of the payment for Bolivian gas.

Anyway, Bolivia is now an ally of the troops of Xerxes who want to destroy not only Athens, but all Western and Christian culture.
