I am particularly disappointed at the author’s neglect to mention the misogynist and macho remarks of the coca grower caudillo who functions as president of the country.

In many occasions, his remarks denigrated Bolivian women, his “jokes” portraying himself as a stallion or his advice to young men: to enroll the military to avoid paternity, is still fresh in the minds of true Bolivians who feel ashamed of this petty ruler!
