Singani export to the US increased by 60%

Casa Real delights the palate of thousands of Americans since 2013.

“The 2015 was a good year for exports of singani, an exclusive drink of Bolivia and consisting of a double distillation of wine grape muscat of Alexandria,” said Luis Pablo Granier, general manager of Casa Real.

According to estimates of Casa Real, the country that is dedicated to its production, in 2015 the shipments from the Bolivian drink grew at least by 60% compared to 2014. Although the amount of volume is not provided.

Casa Real delights the palate of thousands of Americans since 2013, through the Singani 63 brand, which belongs to film director Steven Soderbergh and is manufactured by the tarijeña cellar.

In just two years, the volume of exports to the country of the north grew steadily, reflecting the liquor achieved a high recognition abroad.

Thus, the quality of the exclusive distillate, is positioning Bolivia on the world map of the premium spirits.

“The success of this product, made by Casa Real, abroad is critical to our industry,” Granier said in a press release.

According to the executive, although this brand is sold only in the United States, it is estimated that the export growth had in 2015 by 60%, reflects the preference that the liquor is enjoying globally.

“Increasingly, there are more experts in mixology and food pairing around the world who value and recommend singani, a drink that is made only in Bolivia and represents the pride of Bolivians and our land,” Granier said.

Singani 63 brand is owned by Soderbergh, but Casa Real in Bolivia produces and exports to the United States.

This year, the tarijeña winery plans to maintain the growth curve to continue exporting more than a product, a country brand.
