Two Bolivians earn international award
“Femicide and violence against women in Bolivia,” prepared by the Bolivian journalists Abdel Padilla Vargas and Jose Luis Mendoza and issued the “City Square” on Radio Fides, November 8, 2014 won the XXXIII edition of the International Journalism Awards King of Spain, radio category.
It is a complaint. The program, which lasted 38 minutes, it is reported that Bolivia is one of the countries with the highest rates of violence against women and how they are organized to deal with the problem. The jury is convened annually by Agencia EFE and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID), who chose the Bolivian work of the 22 presented in the radio category. I despise all those “machos” out there and condemn feminicide, Bolivia is experiencing an increase in violence that has to stop!
So, this news is light of hope, I welcome these two men, Abdel Padilla Vargas and Jose Luis Mendoza to The Hall of Bolivian Fame for the courage to go against these terrible and hideous societal cancer!
