The Bolivian Ignacio Val is shaping up for the Grammy
Nominees for the 57th edition of the awards will be announced the first week of December. “We are on the ballot for the Grammy Latino Pop Rock. We are waiting for the results,” said the excited Bolivian singer Ignacio Val.
The name of the paceño musician, resides since nine years ago in Los Angeles (USA), listed on the first ballot or ballot vote of 57 Grammy awards, in the category Latin Pop Rock Artist.
“Now members of the academy are voting and the winners will be chosen to be nominated,” said the singer, also a composer.
This first round of the voting period, which will determine who will be the artists who will enter the list of nominations began on October 16 and will end on November 5th.
In addition, the Bolivian opera singer Gian-Carla Tisera is also shaping up to be nominated in four categories of the competition.
According to the official website of the Grammy, nominees will be announced the first week of December. Then, the second stage of voting will take place between December 17 and January 16, 2015. Finally, the Grammy ceremony will take place on February 8, 2015, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles (California, United States).
Val began to study singing, dancing and guitar at age 13 in La Paz. Then in 2005, he moved to Los Angeles where he continued his studies at the Academy of High Performance Musicians Institute.
He scored his first hit with the song I will find you [Te encontraré], which was chosen as the opening theme of the reality show The Bachelor.
During his career, Bolivian musician shared the stage with artists such as Luis Fonsi, David Bisbal, Alejandro Fernández and Alejandra Guzmán. In addition; participated in the Latin American Film Festival of Los Angeles, Fiesta Broadway, at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles with the singer Marisela in the Latin Grammy Street Fair.
In 2005 he participated in the Bolivia tour of Franco de Vita, on which occasion he was invited to sing a duet theme Si la ves [If you see her]. He also starred in the independent film Sueños Rotos [Broken Dreams]. In 2013 he published his first self-titled album, which reached seven songs in the top rankings of Bolivia and Latin America. That same year he won two awards at the Stereo 97 Awards as Best International Artist and Best International Song for Gotas de blanco amor [Love white drops] one of his most famous hits.
