Bolivian Melgar achieved gold medal at the South American
Santa Cruz Aracely Melgar won the gold medal at the XL South American Championship 2014 Bodybuilding, Fitness Choreography category. The competition this weekend [Aug 30th] was held in Bogota (Colombia).
Melgar competed in the 1.63 meters, achieving to be above the Venezuelan Elivan Campos and Eliana Robles, who finished second and third, respectively. “Thank God, the effort paid off. Sacrifice is big,” said the Bolivian, fulfilled their participation.
High Level Competition
There were over 250 athletes, representatives of Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile and Bolivia, who participated in this competition, held from August 29 to 31 in the Colombian capital.
A total of 15 compatriots traveled in search of a medal, but did not run with the same fate as Melgar. To some of them the Governors Office [Santa Cruz] through the Department of Sport Service (SDD), supported giving them tickets, others ran with their expenses.
