Bolivian community expresses concern about constant attacks from President Evo to the U.S.

The President of the Coalition for democracy, Teddy Gamboa, and Vice President of this organization, Orlando Pacheco, considered that the Bolivian community may be “seriously affected” by the statement of the head of State when there is an advanced project to get a “temporary protection status” as they have other countries e.g. El Salvador.

La Paz, 20 Oct. (ANF)-the Coalition for the Bolivia democracy expressed this Saturday the “shame and fear” that feels the Bolivian community in the United States after the latest statements of President Evo Morales, who said: “now have relations with the Embassy of United States, pardon the expression, is like a poop”, a few days after the completion of the first Summit of leaders Boliviano-Americanos in Washington, D.C.

“Even when we are away from our land, as Bolivians have an obligation to lead a fight against totalitarianism and the coca union dictatorship in a participatory way, particularly in the search for peace and stability in our country, which are factors of instability for the country and continue deepening the human capital flight to almost all continents of the world in search of better opportunities because in Bolivia there is no citizen security and human rights, which are violated constantly where democracy is in danger because those who have different ideas to those of the government, are so persecuted”, said the press release of this social organization created by Bolivian residents in United States.

The President of the Coalition for democracy, Teddy Gamboa, and Vice President of this organization, Orlando Pacheco, after expressing concern about the constant attacks of the head of State against the US, consider that the Bolivian community may be “seriously affected” by the statement of the head of State when there is an advanced project to get a “temporary protection status” as they have other countries e.g. El Salvador, because this allows to have a permit of work and thus improve the situation of Bolivian residents in this country.

“We can not ignore the fact that the community of Bolivian residents provides more than 1,012 million a year to Bolivia through their remittances funds and does not receive any benefit Unlike President Evo Morales who is dedicated to attacking the United States instead of worrying about the well-being of the Bolivian people inside and outside the country.” “We believe that it is time for the Bolivians who are scattered over the world, to be heard and taken into account as required by the Constitution,” says the public statement.

Between October 11 and 12, it was held in Washington, the first Summit of Boliviano-American leaders in the presence of the Senators Jimena Torrez Chávez, Marcelo Antezana Ruiz, Victor Hugo Maiser and the deputies Mauricio Muñoz, Gladis Prieto, Maria Odalis Reyes, Juan Carlos Becerra, Farides Vaca Suarez, Cira Sánchez Altamirano.

This event touched topics related to drug trafficking, national security, human rights, economy, democracy and freedom of expression, than at present for this organization would have “damaged the image and dignity of Bolivians” and it would have led to the exodus of millions of Bolivians who were forced to leave the country after the arrival of the movement for socialism [MAS] to power.

I’m glad there are organizations like this who have the opportunity to let the American people know about the type of current Bolivian government we have; and also one who does not help at all, to those of us who are living abroad…
