Bolivian government rejects FTA with USA

In the words of current Bolivian Foreign Minister, David Choquehuanca, Bolivia would never embark in a Free Trade Agreement with the USA. He compared Bolivia riding a horse and the USA flying an airplane if such FTA would be signed.

Choquehuanca is famous for recommending children to drink coca instead of milk; and another opinion: rocks have female and male sexes… So, what can you say about this latter opinion?

One thing, this government has very limited knowledge in terms of how to take advantage of an FTA with the USA, maybe their brains move at the velocity of that horse, in comparison with an airplane.

I’m just flabbergasted to see well into the second decade of this century that current Bolivian government keeps living in the past, tied to extremely deciduous and non-practical ideas and theories…
