La Paz leads demonstrations nationwide in support of the TIPNIS; Cochabamba follows and Santa Cruz is preparing to show its support by tonite in Central Plaza.

Potosi is more severe: Miguel Mamani, a leader of the COD (Regional Workers’ Union) said that both president and vice-president should face an Impeachment Referendum, as times goes by it is more imperative to find the guilty parties that caused that police brutality.

This picture is from El Deber, from protesters in La Paz, you can see a young woman with a sign that reads:  “Evo we don’t believe you anything!! traitor” There were no streets blocked, no classes in public schools and some private schools.

Bienvenido Zacu, congressman from the indigenous groups under current political party in government, said he was not allowed to attend a meeting where ruling party gathered in the Presidential Palace, a total act of discrimination. Zacu said that all indigenous Congressperson from the lowlands will work on their own from now on. Current Bolivian president requested that a meeting should be held to discuss the events of this past weekend; Zacu said he wanted to get inside but wasn’t allowed, he interpreted such action was made, because he has family in the marching TIPNIS group and he wanted to report on his findings while he was in Yucumo. Zacu also saif that today they expect to have a list of the missing people since Sunday, he said there are a number of mothers without their children, as of today.
