The road and railroad blockade that started as of zero hours today, was lifted. Road transportation is restored, no news about railroad operations, per El Deber’s website. However, there is still the threat that blockade could start again sometime tomorrow… they are also requesting that the Customs National Director, Marlene Ardaya resigns from that position, as she did not respond to their demands.

Blockade started as people from the Chiquitania were requesting that the government continues with legalizing the cars that entered (smuggled) into country early this year. Most of the cars that entered illegally were considered as junk in their countries of origin and some others were stolen from neighboring countries.
