The woman decided not to handle the money and reported it to the authorities, who are investigating the origin of the cash.
A woman found several bundles of money on Mariscal Santa Cruz Avenue in the city of La Paz, chose not to touch the bills, and immediately reported it to the police.
The police arrived at the scene to verify the incident, and the bundles were transferred to the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc). Subsequently, a man went to the police station claiming to be the owner of the money, according to authorities.
“A person passing through the area spilled an amount of money, approximately 50,000 bolivianos. Later, he approached, attempting to prove ownership of this sum,” stated Felcc Director Walter Neme.
The police chief indicated that the man was detained, but the Public Prosecutor’s Office decided to release him.
The police are now investigating the origin of the money, which was divided into five bundles.

La mujer decidió no tocar los billetes y dio parte a las autoridades, quienes investigan la procedencia del dinero.
Una mujer encontró varios fajos de dinero en la avenida Mariscal Santa Cruz, en la ciudad de La Paz, decidió no tocar los billetes e inmediatamente dio parte a la Policía.
La Policía llegó al lugar para verificar el hecho y los fajos fueron derivados a la Fuerza de Lucha Contra el Crimen (Felcc). Posteriormente, un hombre llegó a instalaciones policiales afirmando ser propietario del dinero, según el reporte de las autoridades.
“Una persona que estaba circulando por el lugar, ha derramado una cantidad de dinero, de aproximadamente de 50 mil bolivianos. La misma, posteriormente, se ha aproximado pretendiendo acreditar ser el propietario de esta suma de dinero”, indicó el director de la Felcc, Walter Neme.
El jefe policial indicó que el hombre fue detenido, pero el Ministerio Público determinó liberarlo.
La Policía ahora investiga la procedencia del dinero que estaba distribuido en cinco fajos de dinero.
