International organizations observe a complex picture of the Bolivian economy, with the reduction of reserves, a high country risk and low foreign investment. In this framework, economists maintain that Bolivia will be among the economies in crisis in South America, if its model does not change.

The economist and former authority of the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB), Juan Antonio Morales, assures that the national economy is in crisis, a similar perception has the president of the College of Economists of Tarija, Fernando Romero.

Likewise, they point out that the BCB’s foreign currency would only be enough to purchase fuel for one month, while the private sector defends itself only with the acquisition of dollars in the parallel market, he added.
