Miguel Saavedra, in charge of operations of the Municipal Emergency and Risk Management Directorate, confirmed that during midday this Saturday several calls were answered for falling trees and interface fires in the city. They also recommend avoiding parking under leafy trees and signs.
According to the report of the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service (Senamhi), the maximum temperature reached 33 degrees Celsius and the winds reached a speed of 70 kilometers per hour.
Due to the gusts of wind, Saavedra revealed that several emergencies were reported this Saturday morning, including falling leafy trees, signs, and even interface fires. “But of which only material damage was lamented,” he said.
For this Sunday, a similar weather situation is expected, so it is recommended to avoid parking vehicles under trees, signs or objects that pose a risk, in the face of strong winds.
Likewise, he advises not to burn garbage, since the climatic conditions are conducive for a simple burning to spread and become a forest fire.

Asimismo, recomiendan evitar estacionarse debajo de árboles frondosos y letreros.
De acuerdo con el reporte del Servicio Nacional de Meteorología e Hidrología, (Senamhi), la temperatura máxima alcanzó los 33 grados centígrados y los vientos llegaron a una velocidad de 70 kilómetros por hora.
Debido a las ráfagas de viento, Saavedra reveló que durante la mañana de este sábado se reportaron varias emergencias, entre caídas de árboles frondosos, letreros y hasta incendios de interfase. “Pero de los cuales solo se lamentaron daños materiales“, apuntó.
Para este domingo, se prevé similar situación meteorológica por lo que recomienda evitar estacionar los vehículos debajo de los árboles, letreros u objetos que signifiquen un riesgo, ante los fuertes vientos.
Asimismo, aconseja no quemar basura, puesto que las condiciones climáticas son propicias para que una simple quema se extienda y se convierta en un incendio forestal.
