Camacho criticizes spending “millions on politicking”

After the ruling of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the dispute between Chile and Bolivia over the waters of Silala, the governor of Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho, criticized the two defeats against the trans-Andean country and considers that Evo Morales should be prosecuted. He criticized the spending of millions of dollars in both processes and says that it was all for “politicking.”

“These two defeats in The Hague are the legacy of the irresponsible and violent politicking that Morales sowed and that the people must not forget. A trial of responsibilities would have to be opened for such damage that he did to the country and to our history,” wrote the governor from Santa Cruz on social networks.

Camacho’s words come after learning of the ICJ ruling that states that Bolivia and Chile recognized that the waters of Silala are of international course. In addition, he establishes that the neighboring country has the right to its use and that no compensation for the use of the natural resource has been requested by this court.

The governor from Santa Cruz considers that yesterday’s ruling becomes Bolivia’s second defeat against Chile and criticized the expenses that were made by the Bolivian State in the hands of the Movement for Socialism (MAS).
