The former Defense Minister, Fernando López, was declared in absentia by the justice in the Senkata case.
The former Minister of Defense, Fernando López, who was declared in absentia by the courts in the Senkata case, spoke in the last hours through his Twitter account and denounced that there is an “abuse of power” in Bolivia, referring to the latest apprehensions of former authorities.
“Total absence of democratic values, abuses of power, humiliating our national symbols, the former president, members of the Armed Forces, National Police and persecution of those who think differently,” López wrote from underground.
The former minister was declared in absentia in the process that began with the events of November 2019. López was the Minister of Defense for former President Jeanine Añez, who is currently detained in the Miraflores prison in La Paz, while former ministers Rodrigo Guzmán and Álvaro Coímbra are in the San Pedro prison.
One of the cases for which López is wanted is for sedition and terrorism after the resignation of former President Evo Morales on November 10, 2019, the second refers to an alleged surcharge of $US 2 million in the purchase of anti-riot equipment and the third, for the 10 deaths in Senkata, El Alto on November 19, 2019.
Lopez left the country on November 9 with former Minister of Government Arturo Murillo who supposedly would be in Brazil and Panama.
According to the intelligence report, both took an official flight of the Bolivian Air Force from Santa Cruz to Puerto Suárez, and left for Corumbá, in the state of Mato Grosso del Sur, in Brazil, by car. Migration Brazil certified to the Bolivian Intelligence Directorate the entry of both former authorities.
Logaric sees cruel and inhuman treatment against Añez
Former Foreign Minister Karen Logaric, through her twitter account, recalled three weeks since the aberrational arrest of former president Jeanine Añez. “Let us repudiate those who imprisoned her and also those who consent and tolerate this illegal, cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment! Freedom for Añez!” Said the former Minister of Foreign Relations.

El exministro de Defensa, Fernando López, que fue declarado en rebeldía por la justicia en el caso Senkata, se pronunció en las últimas horas a través de su cuenta de Twitter y denunció que en Bolivia existe “abuso de poder”, al referirse a las últimas aprehensiones de exautoridades.
“Ausencia total de valores democráticos, abusos de poder, vejamen a nuestros símbolos patrios, la ex presidente, miembros de las FFAA (Fuerzas Armadas), Policía Nacional y persecución a quienes piensan diferente”, escribió López, desde la clandestinidad.
El exministro fue declarado en rebeldía en el proceso que se inició por los hechos de noviembre de 2019. López fue ministro de Defensa de la expresidenta Jeanine Añez, que actualmente se encuentra detenida en el penal de Miraflores de La Paz, mientras que los exministros Rodrigo Guzmán y Álvaro Coímbra están en el penal de San Pedro.
Uno de los casos por los que López es buscado es por sedición y terrorismo tras la renuncia del expresidente Evo Morales el 10 de noviembre de 2019, el segundo está referido a un supuesto sobreprecio de $us 2 millones en la compra de material antidisturbios y el tercero, por las 10 muertes en Senkata, El Alto el 19 de noviembre de 2019.
Lopez dejó el país el pasado 9 de noviembre junto al exministro de Gobierno Arturo Murillo quienes supuestamente estarían en Brasil y Panamá.
De acuerdo al informe de Inteligencia ambos tomaron un vuelo oficial de la Fuerza Aérea Boliviana de Santa Cruz a Puerto Suárez, y salieron rumbo a Corumbá, en el estado de Mato Grosso del Sur, en Brasil, en auto. Migración Brasil certificó a la Dirección de Inteligencia de Bolivia el ingreso de ambas exautoridades.
Logaric ve trato cruel e inhumano contra Añez
La excanciller Karen Logaric a través de su cuenta de twitter recordó ya son tres semanas del aberrante arresto de la ex presidenta Jeanine Añez. “Repudiemos a los que la apresaron y también a los que consienten y toleran este trato ilegal, cruel, inhumano y degradante, !Libertad para Añez!”, afirmó la exministra de Relaciones Exteriores.
Por su lado el exministro de Defensa y militar de carrera, Luis Fernando López, acusa al Estado por la ausencia total de valores democráticos y abusos de poder político contra los opositores al gobierno de Luis Arce.
También denuncia vejamen a los símbolos patrios a la ex presidente, a miembros de las FFAA, Policía Nacional y persecución a quienes piensan diferente. López también exige que liberen a Jeanine Añez y a la democracia boliviana.
Ambos exministros optaron por manifestarse a través de sus cuentas en redes sociales, cuando la expresidenta ingresa a la tercera semana de estar privada de libertad por acusaciones de terrorismo, conspiración y sedición dentro una teoría gubernamental sobre un “golpe de Estado”.
