Patroness of Bolivian folklore
The canvas of the Virgen del Socavón [Virgin of the Mine], Patroness of the National Folklore, is duly stable and without deterioration after the armoring and insulation work, informed the person in charge of Furniture Heritage of the Ministry of Culture, Carlos Rua Alanda.
According to official information, during the last three years, periodically, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, performs the monitoring and diagnosis of the painting of the Virgin; in the last evaluation made a week ago experts in restoration works, determined that it does not present deterioration after having been shielded and isolated from the ambient temperature.
