Potato or Potatoe originally came from the highlands of South America. Therefore, Bolivia is also the source of this incredible and delicious food. We should follow the Peruvian lead and begin producing these non genetically modified food. Opinion of Bolivian Thoughts.

Colored potatoes prevent diseases

Unknown outside the Andes, colored potatoes such as red, purple, black, orange or yellow are not only suitable to face climate change but can also prevent malnutrition and cancer, according to research from Peru, the world’s cradle of this tuber, with more than 3,000 varieties.

On the millenary platforms where the Incas managed to tame the multiple versions of the potato, the National Institute of Agrarian Innovation (INIA) of Peru studies the characteristics and virtues of each of the varieties to classify them and develop new ones that can be produced on a large scale.
