Entrepreneurs claim that inflation will be higher than 8%
The businessmen of Santa Cruz warned that the country’s inflation this year will exceed 8%, while the Government assures that it shall not exceed that percentage.
Santa Cruz entrepreneurs’ President, Gabriel Dabdoub, said that the high prices recorded during the third quarter of the year, together with the economic movement that doubles in the last months of this year, by the end of the year festivities, will cause higher inflation than the projected.
Economy Minister Luis Arce, said on Sunday, speaking to the State-run media, the consumer price index (IPC) shall not exceed 8%.
Until September, the accumulated inflation reached 5.65% and just three months after this year ends, exceeds the goal of 4.8 percent, which the Government had scheduled for this year. Climate made prices rise on some foods.
