One minister quit office on Monday as a result of the violent police aggression to the TIPNIS protest-walk group; today another minister (Sacha Llorenti) was “forced” to resign due to public opinion against his role in the unfortunate events of this past weekend.

Wilfredo Chavez replaced Llorenti as Ministry of Government and Ruben Saavedra is the new minister of Defense, replacing Cecilia Chacon (who quit office as soon as the criminal violent police force became evident).

La Paz citizens rejoiced when they found out about Llorenti’s quitting office. People were seen on TV dancing on the streets.

This cartoon is from La Razon (9/27/11). It resembles an indigenous “face” also resembling current president’s face and hair style. In his broken forehead it can be read “indigenous government” In Bolivian slang you could understand this as the mask fading out of your face and being broken, revealing your inner sense…

TIPNIS leaders as well as CONAMAQ’s said the march will continue, as soon the people who are still missing since Sunday’s persecution. Once they come out of the forest or we find about their whereabouts, the walk will continue towards La Paz, they said.
