India expects in Bolivia: Violent confrontation between protesters and central government security forces …

Bolivian Thoughts opinion: Let’s prove the New Delhi Times wrong!

Even though, we are certainly repudiating evo’s ludicrous desire to perpetuate himself in power, despite having lost a National Referendum where we said NO! Bolivia is a peaceful society and we do not expect violence … unless Maduro’s acolyte pushes the police to engage violently against pacific protesters. evo may even try to push his hordes to stop street blockades … we will not fall, we will prevail pacifically as we honor our democracy and Constitution!

Anyway, the news  as dramatically presented by the Indian news, follows:

International Political Scenario for Bolivia 5 – 12 July 2019

To demand the resignation of senior members of the Electoral Tribunal for alleged pro-government bias, anti-government activists in Santa Cruz Department will organize a strike for 9 July. They are also protesting against President Evo Morales’ efforts for re-election in October 2019, and for a 2016 referendum result rejecting his re-election to be respected. Apart from closures of local businesses and disruption to public transportation, there will be large protests in Santa Cruz city centre, roadblocks on main access roads and around the Viru-Viru International Airport. Violent confrontation between protesters and central government security forces is highly likely.
