Bolivian was chosen as student of Michel Strauss
The Bolivian cellist Valeria Escalera, participant of the Bolivia Classical training program, was selected to spend the master classes with Michel Strauss, the most famous cellist in Europe, at the Conservatory of Boulogne-Billlancourt in Paris (France).
“Escalera has been accepted as a student of the great master of cello Michel Strauss at the Conservatoire de Boulogne-Billlancourt” said through a letter. pianist Ana Maria Vera, creator and promoter of Bolivia Classic Foundation.
Vera said that Escalera arrived in Paris on Monday [09/22/2014] and yesterday did the audition to enroll the classes with Strauss. “He is one of the most important teachers in Europe today and besides being a great friend, is a great artist, amazing character,” she said.
Escalera was a student at the training program and of the Bolivia Classical orchestra. She was also assistant to the maestros.
Vera created in 2011 Bolivia Classic Foundation, based in London and La Paz, to promote an international annual music festival and academy dedicated to children and Bolivian young talents.
The project is more than three years of operation, in which elected youth that had the opportunity to learn from foreign dedicated maestros, specialists in various instruments.
