Current government employment figures are staggering! Around a week ago, newspaper La Razon published these figures:
An incredible rise in bureaucracy, between 2005 and 2009, the number of public servants rose by almost 90,000 (148%), which represents that in 2005 the State used around Bs 7,000 millions in salaries, now reaches 16,000 millions.
Bolivia does not need more bureaucracy. Unfortunately our productivity remains at the same levels, for the last five years and underemployment is in the rise.
